    Public Arts in NYC

    waterfall1.jpg

This summer, a new public art installation by Danish artist Olafur Eliasson will bring watherfalls to the East River. The rendering above shows one of the four planned locations. This one is a hugh waterfall flowng from the underside of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Eliasson is best known for The Weather Project, a large installation he built in the Tate Modern in London back in 2004. I had a chance to see it when I was over there visiting and it was amazing. He really has a way of transforming an environment into a surreal experience.

Living and working in NYC is already an amazing source of inspiration for creativity and pubilc arts projects like this make me realize how special it is to call this place home.
